great location for:

On a peninsula jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean around 3 hours by road east of Rio, Búzios was once a small fishing village but is now one of Brazil’s most sophisticated beach resorts. On average there are more than 300 sunny days a year here and the peninsula is home to over 23 beaches.

Optional excursions include boat or jeep trips along the coast and islands, trekking and a variety of water sports. In the evening, a host of bars and restaurants can be found on Búzios’ main street of ‘Rua das Pedras’ and many of the excellent hotel options are just short walk away.
