great location for:

A seemingly endless carpet of green and blue, the Amazon Rainforest covers a vast area of North and West Brazil. Such is the extent of this gigantic ecosystem that tracts of it are found in seven neighbouring countries.

Established in the 19th Century, Manaus has grown into the region’s largest city. Famous for its grand opera house and fine cathedral, Manaus is the starting point for cruises along the river and its many tributaries. Cruising is an excellent way to fully appreciate the river, the rainforest and the abundant wildlife. Alternatively there are a number of well-equipped jungle lodges located deep in the rainforest.
