Originally opened in 1925, El Albergue is a historic hotel, located near Ollantaytambo train station, little more than an hour away from Machu Picchu and the city of Cusco. It has just 16 rooms individually decorated in an elegant rustic style. The hotel has beautiful gardens which are full of fuchsia, passionflower, peaches and avocado trees which attract hummingbirds.
