Mexico’s Pacific coastline has long been a popular bolt hole for locals and tourists alike. Whether you head for an established international resort such as Acapulco or Puerto Vallarta or stay at an off -the-beaten track tropical hideaway, the choice is yours. The beaches and surrounding scenery along much of the coast are superb and dolphins can often be seen playing in the waters. Away from the more developed resort towns you can see the traditional Mexico. The pace of life is slower here: meander along winding cobbled lanes and stop for a tequila, before finding the perfect spot to end the day watching the sun go down over the Pacific.
