Information

great location for:

Covering much of South-Western Brazil as well as parts of neighbouring Paraguay and Bolivia, the Pantanal is a vast, wildlife rich, natural floodplain. This is the preserve of the Giant Anteater, puma and ocelot and experienced guides will help you look for these prize mammals. Look out also for over 200 different species of fish and an incredible 600 plus species of bird!

Human habitation is sparse; all of the tourist accommodation is in purpose built lodges. Depending on the habitat visited, your daily excursions will be on foot, by jeep or by paddled canoe. Water flows through the Pantanal all year, however December through until March are the wettest months and access at this time is not as easy.
