Information
In southern Namibia, and located in the vast Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei is home to some of the largest dunes in world, rising to heights of more than 1000ft. The landscape is absolutely spectacular and after an energetic climb to the summit of the dunes, you will be rewarded with amazing panoramic views of the desert. Sunrise and sunsets are the best times to view this dynamic scenery and the changing light conditions are a photographers dream. Nearby, other vleis (pans) such as Dead Vlei or Hidden Vlei provide stunning vistas and the foreground of skeleton trees or dusty acacias frame the towering dunes behind.
