Country Information
Mozambique stretches along Africa’s east coast from Tanzania to South Africa and although it has endured almost two decades of civil war, it is now optimistic and full of life and extremely friendly to visitors. The country is now relaxed and undeveloped with resorts and hotels that are low key and friendly to local economies. Easily combined with other parts of Southern and East Africa, Mozambique has over 2500km of coastline lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. You will find un-touched reefs, dolphins year round and humpback whales, which can be seen off the coast from June to December. An up and coming destination, Mozambique has a strong Portuguese influence, seen in the architecture of its world heritage sites.
