Information
Established in 1898, the world famous Kruger National Park is impressive in both its size and diversity of wildlife; the park is home to 147 mammals, 114 reptiles and 507 birds. Covering nearly 2 million hectares of protected South African lowveld, the park is also home to a number of interesting bushman rock paintings and archaeological sites. Within the park, it is possible to self-drive on an excellent network of sealed roads. Accommodation is available in either rest camps within in the park or at a number of good quality lodges in private concessions. However you spend time in Kruger you will be rewarded with vast open spaces, stunning African sunsets and star filled skies.
